How it works
From buying your test to talking through your results, here is every step in order. Six steps, and the kit comes to you.
The six steps
Choose your HMA option and buy
Compare the four options, read and accept the client agreement, then pay securely through Stripe in CAD or USD. If you were referred by CanAlt, the referral is noted automatically.
Receive your instructions and kit
Right after payment you'll get an email with your sample instructions and the short forms the lab needs. Cris sets up your test with CanAlt and your kit is sent to you. Use the sample checklist when it arrives.
Take and send your sample
At home, follow the instructions to collect a small hair sample (a tidy snip from the back of the head). Pack it as directed and post it to the lab. International clients: see the FAQ for shipping notes.
The lab analyses your sample
CanAlt runs the analysis and sends the results to Cris. Timing depends on shipping and the lab's current turnaround; the timeline tool gives a rough estimate and Cris keeps you posted.
Your report, and your call
Cris prepares your written report. With the HMA Report it arrives by email. With the other options you'll also receive a private link to book your 45-minute results-review call, and messaging opens.
Your direction or protocol
After the call you'll have a clear direction, and with the Dedicated Personalized Plan or the Program, a written protocol built around your results, followed by reminders and coaching where included.

Compare optionsPaying in two instalments
The Dedicated Personalized Plan and the 12-week Program can be paid in two equal instalments at no extra cost. The second is charged automatically 30 days after the first. The results-review call becomes bookable once both instalments are paid.
